Elche, oder Elx, ist eine Stadt in der Comarca von Baix Vinalopó, Spanien. Laut der Volkszählung von 2008 hat Elche eine Bevölkerung von etwa 228.300 Einwohnern, die als die drittgrößte Stadt in der valencianischen Gemeinschaft und die 20. größte spanische Stadt. Ein Teil der Gemeinde ist Küste, aber die Hauptstadt ist etwa 11 km vom Mittelmeer entfernt. Ein kleiner Bach namens Vinalopó fließt durch die Stadt, die ihn in zwei Teile teilt.
