Flandern (Niederländisch: Vlaanderen (Hilfe · Info), Französisch: Flandre) bezieht sich heute normalerweise auf den niederländisch sprechenden nördlichen Teil Belgiens. Von etwa 1000 n.Chr. Bedeutete Flandern historisch das Land, das sich entlang der Nordsee von der Straße von Dover bis zur Scheldt-Mündung mit schlecht definierten Südgrenzen befand.
