Hyponatriämie
Hyponatriämie oder Hyponatriämie ist eine Elektrolytstörung, bei der die Natriumionenkonzentration im Plasma niedriger als normal ist. Natrium ist das dominante extrazelluläre Kation und kann sich nicht frei von dem interstitiellen Raum in die Zelle kreuzen, da geladene Natriumionen bis zu 25 Wassermoleküle um sie herum anziehen und eine große polare Struktur erzeugen, die zu groß ist, um durch die Zellmembran zu gelangen. Seine Homöostase in der Zelle ist entscheidend für die normale Funktion jeder Zelle. Normale Serum-Natrium-Konzentrationen liegen zwischen etwa 135 und 145 mEq / L. Hyponatriämie wird im Allgemeinen als Serumspiegel von weniger als 135 mEq / L definiert und gilt als schwerwiegend, wenn der Serumspiegel unter 125 mEq / l liegt. Viele Bedingungen, einschließlich kongestiver Herzinsuffizienz, Leberversagen, Nierenversagen und Pneumonie können eine assoziierte Hyponatriämie haben. Es kann auch durch Überhitzung verursacht werden, zu viel Wasser zu trinken.
