Merkantilismus
Der Merkantilismus ist eine ökonomische Theoriepraxis, die gewöhnlich in Europa vom 16. bis zum 18. Jahrhundert verwendet wird, die die Regierungsregierung der Volkswirtschaft einer Nation zur Vermehrung der Staatsgewalt auf Kosten der rivalisierenden Nationalmächte förderte. Es war das wirtschaftliche Gegenstück zum politischen Absolutismus. Es umfasst eine nationale Wirtschaftspolitik, die darauf abzielt, die Währungsreserven durch eine positive Handelsbilanz, insbesondere von Fertigwaren, zu akkumulieren. Der Mercantilismus beherrschte die westeuropäische Wirtschaftspolitik und den Diskurs vom 16. bis zum späten 18. Jahrhundert. Der Merkantilismus war eine Ursache für häufige europäische Kriege und motivierte auch die Kolonialexpansion. Die Merkantilist-Theorie variierte in Raffinesse von einem Schriftsteller zum anderen und entwickelte sich im Laufe der Zeit.
