Negation
In der Logik ist die Negation, die auch als logisches Komplement bezeichnet wird, eine Operation, die im wesentlichen einen Satz p zu einem anderen Satz "nicht p", geschriebene ¬p, der intuitiv als wahr interpretiert wird, wenn p falsch und falsch ist, wenn p wahr ist. Die Negation ist also ein unartiger logischer Zusammenhang. Es kann als eine Operation auf Sätze, Wahrheitswerte oder semantische Werte allgemeiner angewendet werden. In der klassischen Logik wird die Negation normalerweise mit der Wahrheitsfunktion identifiziert, die Wahrheit zum Falschen und umgekehrt nimmt. In der intuitionistischen Logik ist nach der Brouwer-Heyting-Kolmogorov-Interpretation die Negation eines Satzes p der Satz, dessen Beweise die Widerlegungen von p sind.
