Plataea
Plataea oder Plataeae war eine alte Stadt, die sich in Griechenland im südöstlichen Böotien südlich von Theben befindet. Es war die Lage der Schlacht von Plataea in 479 v. Chr., In der ein Bündnis der griechischen Stadtstaaten die Perser besiegte. Plataea wurde im Peloponnesischen Krieg von Theben und Sparta im Jahre 427 v.Chr. Zerstört und 386 v.Chr. Wieder aufgebaut.
