Priester
Presbyter im Neuen Testament bezieht sich auf einen Führer in lokalen christlichen Gemeinden, dann oft nicht deutlich von Episkopos unterschieden, Presbyter bezieht sich auf gewöhnliche Ältesten und Episkopos, die sich ausschließlich auf das Amt des Bischofs beziehen. Im modernen Gebrauch ist es also deutlich vom Bischof und gleichbedeutend mit dem Priester. In der Hauptlinie protestantischen Gebrauch wird der Begriff jedoch nicht als Bezugnahme auf ein Mitglied des Priestertums und Begriffe wie Minister, Pfarrer und Ältester verwendet werden.
