Procuration ist die Handlung der Betreuung, daher Management, Stewardship, Agentur. Das Wort wird auf die Autorität oder die Befugnis angewandt, die an einen Staatsanwalt oder einen Bevollmächtigten delegiert wird, sowie auf die Ausübung einer solchen Behörde, die häufig durch Beschaffung oder kurz pro Pro. Oder einfach p.p. Eine übliche Verwendung von pro procurationem erfolgt in Geschäftsbriefen, die oft im Auftrag einer anderen Person unterzeichnet werden. Zum Beispiel, bei einer Sekretärin, die befugt ist, einen Brief im Namen des Präsidenten einer Gesellschaft zu unterzeichnen, nimmt die Unterschrift die Form an: p.p. Sekretärin Unterschrift Name des Präsidenten oder Name des Präsidenten p.p. Sekretärin Unterschrift Häufig in der Praxis wird ein alternatives Formular verwendet: Sekretär Unterschrift p.p. Name des Präsidenten Die richtige Verwendung ist Gegenstand einer Debatte. Es wurde sowohl als "durch die Vermittlung von" und "im Namen von" verstanden. Der Grund dafür ist, dass die Bedeutung der Phrase pro procurationem zweideutig ist, wenn sie mit uneingeschränkten englischen Namen verwendet wird. Procuratio steht im Zusammenhang mit den Worten "Pro" und "Cura". Es ist also nah an Bedeutung für "Agentur" - anstatt jemand zu handeln.
