Puranas

Puranas geben gewöhnlich eine bestimmte Gottheit, indem sie eine Fülle von religiösen und philosophischen Konzepten einsetzt. Sie werden gewöhnlich in Form von Geschichten geschrieben, die von einer Person zur anderen verwandt sind. Die Puranas sind in volkstümlichen Übersetzungen verfügbar und werden von Brahmin-Gelehrten verbreitet, die von ihnen lesen und ihre Geschichten erzählen, meist in Katha-Sessions.
