Ein Viertelstaff, auch kurzes Personal oder einfach Personal ist eine traditionelle europäische Pole Waffe und eine Technik der Stick Kämpfe, vor allem wie in Gebrauch in England während der frühen Neuzeit. Der Begriff ist allgemein akzeptiert, um auf einen Schacht von Hartholz von 6 bis 9 Fuß lang, manchmal mit einer Metallspitze, Ferrule oder Spike an einem oder beiden Enden beziehen. Der Begriff "kurzer Stab" vergleicht dies mit dem "langen Stab" auf der Basis des Hechtes mit einer Länge von über 11 bis 12 Fuß.
