Quietismus (christliche Philosophie)
Quietismus ist der Name, der einer Reihe von christlichen Überzeugungen gegeben wurde, die in Frankreich, Italien und Spanien in den späten 1670er und 1680er Jahren populär wurden, waren besonders mit den Schriften von Miguel de Molinos verbunden und wurden als Ketzerei von Papst Innozenz verurteilt XI im päpstlichen Stier Coelestis Pastor von 1687. Die "Quietistische" Ketzerei wurde gesehen, um aus der falschen Erhöhung der "Kontemplation" über die "Meditation", die intellektuelle Stille über das Stimmgebet und die innere Passivität über das fromme Handeln in einer Darstellung des mystischen Gebets, geistig zu bestehen Wachstum und Vereinigung mit Gott. Seit dem späten siebzehnten Jahrhundert ist der "Quietismus" gehandelt worden, als die Abkürzung für Konten, die wahrgenommen werden, um die gleichen theologischen Fehler zu fällen und damit ketzerisch zu sein. Als solches ist der Begriff gekommen, um auf Überzeugungen weit außerhalb seines ursprünglichen Kontextes angewendet zu werden. Der Begriff "Ruhe" wurde erst im 17. Jahrhundert verwendet, so dass einige Schriftsteller den Ausdruck solcher Fehler vor dieser Ära als "Vor-Ruhe" bezeichnet haben.
