Der Ekel
Ekel ist eine emotionale Reaktion der Abscheu gegen etwas als anstößig oder unangenehm. In der Ausprägung der Gefühle in Mensch und Tier schrieb Charles Darwin, dass Ekel eine Empfindung ist, die sich auf etwas Widerwärtiges bezieht. Forschung hat sich kontinuierlich eine Beziehung zwischen Ekel und Angststörungen wie Arachnophobie, Blut-Injektion-Verletzung Typ Phobien und Kontamination Angst verwandte Zwangsstörungen. Ekel ist eine der grundlegenden Emotionen von Robert Plutchiks Theorie der Emotionen und wurde von Paul Rozin ausführlich studiert. Es ruft einen charakteristischen Gesichtsausdruck an, einen von Paul Ekmans sechs universellen Gesichtsausdrücken von Emotionen. Anders als die Emotionen von Angst, Wut und Traurigkeit, ist Ekel mit einer Abnahme der Herzfrequenz verbunden.
