Rhetorik
Rhetorik ist die Kunst des Diskurses, eine Kunst, die darauf abzielt, die Fähigkeit von Schriftstellern oder Sprechern zu verbessern, bestimmte Zielgruppen in bestimmten Situationen zu informieren, zu überzeugen oder zu motivieren. Rhetorik bietet in der Regel Heuristiken für das Verständnis, Entdecken und Entwickeln von Argumenten für bestimmte Situationen, wie Aristoteles drei überzeugende Publikum appelliert, Logos, Pathos und Ethos. Die fünf Kanonen der Rhetorik, die die traditionellen Aufgaben bei der Gestaltung einer überzeugenden Rede verfolgen, wurden zuerst im klassischen Rom kodifiziert: Erfindung, Anordnung, Stil, Gedächtnis und Lieferung. Zusammen mit Grammatik und Logik ist die Rhetorik eine der drei alten Künste des Diskurses. Vom alten Griechenland bis zum Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts war es ein zentraler Teil der westlichen Bildung und füllte die Notwendigkeit, öffentliche Redner und Schriftsteller zu schulen, um das Publikum zum Handeln mit Argumenten zu bewegen.
