Yokohama (横 浜 市, Yokohama-shi?) (Hören Sie (Hilfe · Info)), offiziell die Stadt von Yokohama, ist die zweitgrößte Stadt in Japan durch die Bevölkerung nach Tokyo und die bevölkerungsreichste Gemeinde von Japan. Es ist die Hauptstadt der Kanagawa-Präfektur. Es liegt auf der Tokyo Bay, südlich von Tokio, in der Kantō Region der Hauptinsel Honshu. Es ist eine große kommerzielle Drehscheibe der Greater Tokyo Area. Yokohamas Bevölkerung von 3,7 Millionen macht es Japans größte Stadt.
