Mit dieser Revolution haben die Jungtürken im Jahre 1908 dazu beigetragen, das Zweite Verfassungsalter zu errichten, und das Komitee der Union und des Fortschritts, das auf den Ideen der Jungtürken beruhte, regierte das Osmanische Reich von 1908 bis zum Ende des Ersten Weltkrieges im November 1918 Wie die anderen revolutionären Gesellschaften hatten die Jungtürken ihren Ursprung in den geheimen Gesellschaften der "fortschrittlichen medizinischen Universitätsstudenten und militärischen Kadetten", nämlich der jungen Ottomanen, die unter der U-Bahn zusammen mit allen politischen Dissens getrieben wurden, nachdem die osmanische Verfassung von 1876 abgeschafft wurde und die erste Verfassung Ära, die nach Abdulhamid II. Im Jahre 1878 nach nur zwei Jahren zu Ende war. Das Komitee der Union und der Fortschritt begünstigten eine Wiederinstallation der kurzlebigen Verfassung von 1876, geschrieben vom progressiven Midhat Pascha.
