Jugoslawien
Jugoslawien war ein Land in Südosteuropa während der meisten des 20. Jahrhunderts. Es entstand nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg 1918 unter dem Namen des Königreichs der Serben, der Kroaten und der Slowenen durch die Fusion des provisorischen Staates Slowenen, Kroaten und Serben mit dem früher unabhängigen Königreich Serbien und dem Königreich Montenegro. Das serbische Königshaus Karađorđević wurde zur jugoslawischen Königsdynastie. Jugoslawien gewann am 13. Juli 1922 auf der Konferenz der Botschafter in Paris internationale Anerkennung. Das Land wurde nach den südslawischen Völkern benannt und bildete ihre erste Vereinigung nach Jahrhunderten, in denen die Territorien Teil des Osmanischen Reiches und Österreich-Ungarns waren. Umbenanntes Königreich Jugoslawien am 3. Oktober 1929, wurde es von den Achsenmächten am 6. April 1941 eingedrungen. 1943 wurde ein demokratisches Bundesjugoslawien vom Partisanen Widerstand verkündet. 1944 erkannte der König es als die legitime Regierung, aber im November 1945 wurde die Monarchie abgeschafft. Jugoslawien wurde 1946 in die Bundesrepublik Jugoslawien umbenannt, als eine kommunistische Regierung gegründet wurde. Es erwarb die Territorien von Istrien, Rijeka und Zadar aus Italien.
