Actin ist eines der beiden Grundproteine, zusammen mit Myosin, das ein Muskelprotein ist. Es ist ein lineares Protein der Doppelhelix, das ein dünnes Filament bildet. Es hat eine fibröse Struktur und ist weit verbreitet in anderen Zellen als Muskel. Im Jahr 1942 entdeckte FB Straub von Ungarn, dass Muskelkontraktion durch Hinzufügen von ATP zu Myosin, die zuerst entdeckt wurde.Wenn ich entdeckte, dass Schrumpfung tritt nur, wenn ein anderes Protein ohne Kontraktion hinzugefügt wird, bedeutet dies, dass dieses Protein aktiviert Myosin Actin
