Obecnie jest to duży koncern branży motoryzacyjnej produkujący samochody osobowe, ciężarowe, autobusy, pojazdy i maszyny rolnicze, sprzęt informatyczny i inne wyroby. Koncern zatrudnia około 246 tys. pracowników. W USA produkowane są luksusowe modele Forda, sprzedawane pod marką Lincoln. Ford zakupił także niewielkie udziały w markach Mazda i Aston Martin.
