Biosensors are sensors that are equipped with biological components. These are used in biotechnological measurement technology. The term was coined in 1977 by Karl Cammann; Since 1997 there is a definition of the IUPAC for this. Biosensoren sind Messfühler, die mit biologischen Komponenten ausgestattet sind. Diese werden in der biotechnologischen Messtechnik angewendet. Der Begriff wurde im Jahr 1977 von Karl Cammann geprägt; seit 1997 gibt es eine Definition der IUPAC dafür.
