WHAT DOES USABLE MEAN IN GERMAN?
Usability (product)
Usability, as defined in EN ISO 9241-11, means the extent to which a product, system or service may be used by certain users in a particular application context to achieve certain objectives effectively, efficiently and satisfactorily. It is thus closely related to the concept of user friendliness. The user-friendliness is the minimum requirement that a system is used for the satisfaction of the user, while the user-friendliness also takes into account the emotional aspects of the entire user experience, the so-called user experience. In the case of the properties of use, a distinction is made between the absolutely necessary and those with additional benefit. Within the framework of the standardized approach, the suitability for use can always refer only to sufficiently objective factors. The examination of the usability including the user friendliness are essential components during warentests.
