Baritone

A baritone is a type of classical male singing voice whose vocal range lies between the bass and the tenor voice types. It is the most common male voice. Originally from the Greek βαρύτονος, meaning deep sounding, music for this voice is typically written in the range from the second F below middle C to the F above middle C in choral music, and from the second A below middle C to the A above middle C in operatic music, but can be extended at either end.

Definition of baritone in the English dictionary

The first definition of baritone in the dictionary is the second lowest adult male voice, having a range approximately from G an eleventh below middle C to F a fourth above it. Other definition of baritone is a singer with such a voice. Baritone is also the second lowest instrument in the families of the saxophone, horn, oboe, etc.
