WHAT DOES PAEAN MEAN IN ENGLISH?

Paean

A paean /ˈpiːən/ is a song or lyric poem expressing triumph or thanksgiving. In classical antiquity, it is usually performed by a chorus, but some examples seem intended for an individual voice. It comes from the Greek παιάν, "song of triumph, any solemn song or chant." "Paeon" was also the name of a divine physician and an epithet of Apollo.

Definition of paean in the English dictionary

The first definition of paean in the dictionary is a hymn sung in ancient Greece in invocation of or thanksgiving to a deity. Other definition of paean is any song of praise. Paean is also enthusiastic praise.
