Curve

Curva

In mathematics, the concept of a curve is a continuous line of one dimension, which varies in direction gradually. Simple examples of closed curves are the ellipse or the circumference, and from open curves the parabola, the hyperbola, or the catenary. The straight line would be the limiting case of a circumference of infinite radius of curvature. All curves have a topological dimension equal to 1.
