WHAT DOES METOPOSCOPIA MEAN IN SPANISH?

Metoposcopy

Methoposcopy, also known as metopomancy, is a form of divination intended to describe the character of a person and predict their future based on the lines on their forehead, similar to how chiromancy intends with the lines of the hand. The method was invented by Gerolamo Cardano, a renowned physician and mathematician of the sixteenth century, interested in astrology and chance. During the Counter-Reformation, the Catholic Church pursued the divinatory arts, like the rest of the occult sciences. For Cardano, who had also been imprisoned for being suspected of heresy, it was not prudent to write about these subjects, but nevertheless in his De Vita Propria he made mention of his writings on metoposcopy. Cardano related the lines of the forehead with each of the known planets for his time, which were: the Moon, Mercury, Venus, the Sun, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, thus "reading" the lines as if they were A horoscope.
