उस लौंड़ी का पति बनता था इसी से वह 'दारीजार कहलाता
था । उनसे जो संतान होती थी वह 'दारीजात'
कहलती थी । कुछ लोगों का अनुमान है कि 'दारीजार' ही
से बिगड़कर 'डाढ़ीजार' शब्द बना है । पर यह अनुमान ठीक
नही जँचता ।
