पाचक, वृष्य, मेधाजनक तथा रेचक मानी गई हैं । इसका
प्रयोग आमशूल बवासीर, शोष, क्षयी और ज्वरादि में होता है । फल पकने पर कसैला और खटमिट्ठा होता है ।
