१. एक प्रकार का अत्यंत भयंकर विष ।
विशेष—इसे काला बच्छनाग भी कहते हैं । भावप्रकाश के
अनुसार यह एक पौधे का गोंद है जो श्रृंगवेर, कोंकण और
मलय पर्वत पर होता है । शुद्ध करने के लिये इसे तीन दिन
गोमूत्र में रखकर सरमों के तेल से भीगे कपड़े में बाँधकर कुछ
दिन तक रखना चाहिए । शुद्ध रूप में कभी कभी सन्निपात,
श्लेष्मा आदि दूर करने के लिये इसका प्रयोग होता है ।
२. सिकिम और भूटान में होनेवालें सींगिया की जाति के एक
पौधे की जड़ जिसमें छोटी छोटी गोल चित्तिया होती है ।
३. समुद्रमंथन के बाद निकला हुआ विष जिसे शिव ने पान
