उत्पन्न करनेवाला तथा श्वास, दमा, वात और सूजन को दूर
करनेवाला माना गया है । इसकी जड़ प्रमेहनाशक और
धातुवर्धक मानी गई है । बरई प्रायः अपने पान के भीटों पर
परवल की तरह इसकी बेल भीं चढ़ाते हैं । कुँदरू के विषय
में यह भी प्रवाद चला आता है कि यह बुद्धिनाशक होता है ।
