भी रंग निकाला जाता है । छाल को सज्जी मिट्टी के साथ पानी
में उबालने से लाल रंग निकलता है, जिससे छींट छापते हैं ।
वैद्यक में इसकी छाल और लकड़ी दोनों का प्रयोग होता है ।
इसकी छाल कुछ कसैली होती है पेचिश आदि पेट के कई
रोगों में दी जाती है । इसका गुण ठंढा है और २० ग्रेन तक
इसकी मात्रा है । इसके काढ़े का भी प्रयोग किया जाता है ।
लोध की लकड़ी के काढ़े से कुल्ला करने से मसूढ़े से रक्त निक-
लना जाता रहता है और वह द्दढ़ हो जाता है । इसकी लकड़ी
जल्दी फट जाती है; पर मजबुत होती है औऱ कई तरह के काम
में लाई जाती है ।
