एक प्रसिद्ध भक्त जिनका नाम नारायण—
दास था ।
विशेष—कहते हैं, ये जाति के डोम थे और दक्षिण देश में

इनका जन्म हनुमान वंश में हुआ था । मारवाड़ी भाषा में

टीकाकारों ने इन्हें हनुमानवंशीय लिखा है । पर गद्य भक्त—
माल में लिखा है कि तैलंग देश में गोदावरी के समीप
उत्तर रामभद्राचल पर्वत पर रामदास नामक एक ब्राह्मण
हनुमान जी के अंशावतार रहते थे । इन्हीं के पुत्र नामा थे ।
पर कोई कारणों से इनका नीच कुल में उत्पन्न होना ही
ठीक प्रतीत होता है । ये जन्मांध कहे जाते हैं । बचपन में
ही इनके देश में घोर अकाल पड़ा । माता इन्हें पाल न सकी,
वन में छोड़कर चली गई । कील्ह जी अपने शिष्य अग्रदास के
साथ उस वन में होकर जा रहे थे । उन्होने बच्चे को उठा
लिया और जयपुर के पास गलता नामक स्थान में ले गए ।
वहाँ महात्माओं की कृपा से और साधुऔं का प्रसाद खाते
खाते इनकी आँख भो अच्छी हो गई और बुद्धि भी निर्मल
हो गई । अपने गुरु अग्रदास की आज्ञा से इन्होनै 'भक्तमाल'
लिखा जिसमें अनेक नए पुराने भक्तों के चरित्र वर्णित है ।
अनुमान से भक्तमाल ग्रंथ संवत् १६४२ और संवत् १६८० के
बीच मे बनाया गया क्योंकि भक्तमाल में गोसाई गिरधंर जी के विषय में लिखा है कि 'बिट्ठले नंदन सुभग जग कोऊ
नहिं ता समान । श्री वल्लभ जू के वंश में सुरतरु गिरघर
भ्राजमान ।' यह बात निश्चित है कि संवत् १६४२ में श्री
बिट्ठलनाथ गोसाई का परलोक हुआ और उनके पुत्र गद्दी पर
बैठे । इस पद से गोस्वामी तुलसीदास जी का भी भक्तमाल
बनने के समय वर्तमान रहना पाया जाता है—रामचरन रस
मत्त रहत अहनिसि ब्रतधारी । संवत १६८० गोस्वामी जी
का मृत्युकाल प्रसिद्ध ही है ।
नाभा २ पंजाब की एक (राज्य) रियासत जो भारतवर्ष की
स्वतंत्रता के पुर्व प्रसिद्ध थी ।
