को अपने दहिने हाथ से खींचते हुए बाँए हाथ से उसकी
जाँघिया पकड़कर उसे उलटकर चित कर देते हैँ ।
विशेष—इस पेच के विषय में प्रसिद्ब है कि इसके आविष्कर्त्ता
इसलामी मल्लविद्या के आचार्य अली साहब है । एक बार
किसी जंगल में एक दैत्य से उन्हें मल्लयुद्ब करना पड़ा । उसे
नीचे तो वे ले आए, पर चित करने के लिये समय न था,
क्योंकि नमाज का समय बीत रहा था । इसलिये उन्होंने उसे
इस प्रकार बाँधा कि उसे उसी स्थिति में रखते हुए नमाज
पढ़ सकें । जब वे खड़े होते तब उसे भी खड़ा होना और जब
बैठते या झुकते तब बैठना या झुकना पड़ता । यही इसका
निमाजबंद नाम पड़ने का कारण है ।
