व्याकरण । पाणिनिय व्याकरण के ग्रंथों में प्रतिपादित
व्याकरण दर्शन ।
विशेष— 'सर्वदर्शनसंग्रह' कार ने पाणिनीय व्याकरण दर्शन को
भी भारत के प्राचीन दर्शनों में स्थान दिया है । इस दर्शन के
मत से स्फोटात्मक निरवयव नित्य शब्द ही जगत् का आदि
कारण रुप परब्रह्म है । अनादि अनंत अक्षर रुप शब्द ब्रह्म से
जगत् की साकी प्राक्रियाएँ अर्थ रुप में पर्वर्तित होती हैं । इस
दर्शन ने शब्द के दो भेद माने हैं । नित्य और अनित्य । नित्य
शब्द स्फोट मात्र ही है, संपूर्ण वर्णांत्मक उच्चरित शब्द अनित्य
हैं । अर्थबोधन सामर्थ्य केवल स्फोट में है । वर्ण उस (स्फोट) की अभिव्यक्ति मात्र के साधन हैं । अग्नि शब्द में अकार,
गकार, नकार और इकार ये चारों वर्ण मिलकर अग्नि नामक
पदार्थ का बोध कराते हैं । अब यदि चारों ही में अग्निवाचकता
मानी जाय तो एक ही वर्ण के उच्चारण से सुननेवाले को
अग्नि का ज्ञान हो जाना चाहिए था, दूसरे वर्ण तक के
उच्चारण की आवश्यकता न होनी चाहिए थी । पर ऐसा
नहीं होता । चारों वर्णों के एकत्र होने से ही उनमें
अग्निवाचकता आती हो तो यह भी ठीक नहीं । क्योंकि पर
वर्ण के उत्पत्तिकाल में पूर्व वर्ण का नाश हो जाता है ।
उनका एकत्र अवस्थान संभव ही नहीं । अतः मानना पडे़गा
कि उनके उच्चारण से जिस स्फोट की अभिव्यक्ति होती है
वस्तुतः वही अग्नि का बोधक है । एक वर्ण के उच्चारण
से भी यह अभिव्यक्ति होती है, पर यथेष्ट पुष्टि नहीं होती ।
इसी लिये चारों का उच्चारण करना पड़ता है । जिस प्रकार
नीले, पीले, लाल आदि रंगों का प्रतिबिंब पड़ने से एक ही
स्फटिक मणि में समय समय पर अनेक रंग उत्पन्न होते रहते
हैं उसी प्रकार एक ही स्फोट भिन्न भिन्न वर्णों द्वारा अभि-
व्यक्त होकर भिन्न भिन्न अर्थों का बोध कराता है । इस स्फोट
को ही शब्दशास्त्रज्ञों ने सच्चिदानंद ब्रह्म माना है । अतः शब्द
शास्त्र की आलोचना करते करते क्रमशः अविद्या का नाश
होकर मुक्ति प्राप्त होती है । 'सर्वदर्शनसंग्रह' कार के मत
से व्याकरण शास्त्र अर्थात 'पाणिनीयदर्शन' सब विद्याओं से
पवित्र, मुक्ति का द्वारस्वरुप और मोक्ष मार्गों में राजमार्ग है ।
सिद्धि के अभिलाषी को सबसे पहले इसी की उपासना करनी
चाहिए ।
