पति के अतिरिक्त परपुरुष की प्रेमपात्रा
या पर पुरुष से प्रीति संबंधरखनेवाली स्त्री । नायिकाओं के दो
प्रधान भेदों में से एक ।
विशेष—परकीया दो प्रकार की कही गई हैं । अनूढ़ा (अविवा-
हित) और ऊढा (विवाहित) । स्वेच्छापूर्वक परपुरुष से
प्रेम करनेवाली परकीया को 'उदुबुद्धा' और परपुरुष की
चतुराई या प्रयत्न से उसके प्रेम में फँसनेवाली को 'उद्बो-
धिता' कहते हैं । परकीया के छह और भेद किए गए हैं—
गुप्ता, विदग्धा, लक्षिता, कुलटा, अनुशयाना और मुदिता ।
