अनेक रासायनिक कार्यों में इसका व्यवहार होता है । रूस में
कुछ दिनों तक इसके सिक्के भी चलते थे । दक्षिण अमेरिका के अतिरिक्त यह युराल पर्वत तथा बोर्नियो द्बीप में भी
पाई जाती है ।
