टाँग भूलने का रोग । फीलपाव ।
विशेष—इस रोग में प्रथम पेड़ू, अंडकोष और जघा की संधियों
में पीड़ासहित और ज्वरयुक्त सूजन होकर पाँव में उतर आती
है और पैर हाथी के पैर के समान मोटा हो जाता है । वैद्यक के अनुसार यह रोग हाथ, नाक, कान, आँख, लिंग और होंठ
में भी होता है । यह चार प्रकार का होता है; अर्थात् वातज,
पित्तज, श्लेष्मज और सन्निपातज । एक वर्ष बाद यह रोग
असाध्य हो जाता है ।
यह रोग तालाब आदि का पुराना जल पीने, शीत देश में अधिक
निवास करने तथा जिन स्थानों में सदा पुराना पानी बना
रहता है; वहाँ रहने से उत्पन्न होता है ।
