इससे उनकी बुद्धि और बल का पता लग जायगा । तदनुसार
सुरसा ने विकराल रूप धारण कर हनुमान् जी को रोककर
कहा कि मैं तुम्हें खाऊँगी । यह कहकर उसने मुँह फैलाया ।
हनुमान् जी ने उससे कहा कि जानकी जी की खबर राम जी को
देकर मैं तुम्हारे पास आऊँगा । सुरसा ने कहा ऐसा नहीं हो
सकता । पहले तुम्हें मेरे मुँह में प्रवेश करना होगा, क्योंकि
मुझे ऐसा वर मिला है कि सबको मेरे मुँह में प्रवेश करना
पड़ेगा । यह कह वह मुँह फैलाकर हुनुमान् जी के सामने आई ।
हनुमान् जी ने अपना शरीर उससे भी अधिक बढ़ाया । ज्यों ज्यों
