न मिला हमको बरसगाँठ से । एक बरस और गया गाँठ से ।—(शब्द०) ।
विशेष—प्रागरे आदि की तरफ घर में एक तागा रहता है ।
जिसके नाम का यह तागा होता है उसके एक एक जन्म दिन
पर इस तागे में एक एक गाँठ देते जाते हैं । इसी से जन्म-
दिन को बरसगाँठ कहते हैं । प्राचीन समय में भी ऐसी ही
प्रथा थी ।
