Abkir
Abukir (Abū Qīr, Abukir, Aboukir) ▪ Abuqir: A city in the Mediterranean coast of Egypt. (Abu Qir). It refers to the peninsula part that protrudes into the bay. ▪ "First Abukir Battle" or "Abuql Land Battle": French army vs. Ottoman armies fought on the Abuqle peninsula on July 25, 1799. The expression of land battle is also used to distinguish it from the Abuqir battle. ▪ "Second Abukir Battle" or "Abukir Night Battle": French army against the British army fought on March 8, 1801.
