Acro Corinth
Acrocorinthus (Greek: Ακροκόρινθος, Acrocorinth) is an acropolis of ancient Corinth, a monolithic hill rising to overlook the Corinthus of ancient Greece. George Forrest said it was "the most impressive Acropolis in the mainland of Greece". Acrocorinth has been used continuously in some way from ancient times to the beginning of the 19th century. Because it is a terrain that is easy to defend, it was fortified in the Eastern Roman Empire and was regarded as the residence of Strategos (General) of Hellas (Greece) in Temma system.
