Ahmadabad (English: Ahmadabad, Gujarati: અમદાવાદ, Urdu: احمد آباد) is the major city of Gujarat Province, Western India. The population of urban areas in 2011 is 6.35 million, it is the 47th in the world and the 7th in the country. Agriculture, cotton textile industry is thriving. There are relatively many Muslims (about 20% of the inhabitants), and many mosques are built. There are also many Jain temple temples.
