Al Jazzida 【El Jadida】 Port city on the Atlantic coast west of Morocco. From the early 16th century it developed as Portuguese territory Masagan. In 1769, Portuguese was destroyed by the Moroccans, after that the name of the town was renamed to current name. From 1912 to 1956 until the independence of Morocco is the French protectorate. Currently a multicultural tourist city. The Old Town is a huge fortress built in the Portuguese era, which was registered as a World Heritage (Cultural Heritage) under the name "2004 Portuguese city of Masagan (Al Jazzida)". Al Jadida. アル‐ジャジーダ【El Jadida】 モロッコ西部、大西洋沿岸の港湾都市。16世紀初頭からポルトガル領マサガンとして発展。1769年、モロッコ人によりポルトガルが駆逐され、のちに町の名が現名に改称された。1912年から1956年のモロッコ独立まではフランスの保護領。現在は多文化が行き交う観光都市。旧市街はポルトガル領時代に築かれた巨大な城塞で、2004年「マサガン(アル‐ジャジーダ)のポルトガル都市」の名称で世界遺産(文化遺産)に登録された。アル‐ジャディーダ。
