Ethiamia dictionary 【Ethiamadin Cathedral】 "Mayr Tajar Surb Ejmiatsin" This cathedral is located in the city of Ethimiazin in northwest Armenia. In 301 the Armenian Orthodox church was set up and a cathedral was built. It is regarded as the norm of the later Armenian Orthodox Cathedral, and has attracted revered as a sacred place from all over Armenia. In 2000, it was registered as a World Heritage (cultural heritage) as "Ancient ruins of Ethiamazin's cathedral and churches and Zubartonots" together with the ancient ruins of Zubartonots in the suburbs.
