Baidua is a city of Somalia. In Somali it is called Baidabo. Located near the border of the southwestern part of the country, a key point of transportation and military service following Ethiopia. It is located 256 km northwest of the capital Mogadishu. Population is approximately 800,000 people. It was regarded as the "capital city" of southwest Somalia that declared independence in 2002.
