Definition of バンケティング‐ハウス in the Japanese dictionary
Banketing House 【Banqueting House】 Building located in Westminster, London. Built in the 17th century by the design of the architect Inigo-Jones, as a building for the dinner party and the ball party in a corner of the White Hall palace where the British royal family lived. Due to the fire at the end of the 17th century, most of the Whitehall Palace was destroyed and now only this building remains. In the Puritan Revolution of 1649 Charles I was executed in front of this building, and in 1689 the coronation ceremony of William III was done by the honorary revolution. It is known that there is a ceiling painting drawn by Rubens.
