Bet Sheaan 【Bet She'an】 Urban ruins in the northern part of Israel. It lies between the Ezrell plain and the Jordan Valley. The ruins after about 5000 BC accumulated, and the name is written in Egyptian documents around 1800 BC and Samuel in the Old Testament. It prospered from the Hellenistic era to the ancient Roman era, but it was destroyed by Arabs in the seventh century.
