Vittala Temple "Vittala Temple" Hindu temple in Hampi town of Karnataka province, southern India. It was erected in the first half of the 16th century. Festivals the Bittala which is the incarnation of Vishnu. There is a shrine that shaped the figure that elephants draw a mountain car, and a main hall with 56 column columns with refined relief. In 1986 it was registered as a World Heritage (cultural heritage) under the name of "Hanpi's building group". ビッタラ‐じいん【ビッタラ寺院】 《Vittala Temple》インド南部、カルナータカ州の町ハンピにあるヒンズー教寺院。16世紀前半に建立。ビシュヌ神の化身であるビッタラを祭る。象が山車を引く姿をかたどった祠堂や、精緻な浮彫が施された56本の列柱をもつ本殿などがある。1986年に「ハンピの建造物群」の名称で世界遺産(文化遺産)に登録された。
