Serifosu [Serifos] "Serifos / Σριφος" An island that floats in the Aegean Sea, southeast of Greece. Located in the western part of the Cyclades Islands, about 170 kilometers southeast of the mainland Piraeus. The main town is Serifos. In the Greek myth, there is a legend that Perseus brought the medusa's neck back to this island and made the stone of the island's king Polydescet to the mother Danae. セリフォス‐とう【セリフォス島】 《Serifos/Σριφος》ギリシャ南東部、エーゲ海に浮かぶ島。キクラデス諸島の西部、本土のピレウスの南東約170キロメートルに位置する。主な町はセリフォス。ギリシャ神話で、ペルセウスがメデューサの首をこの島に持ち帰り、母ダナエに言い寄る島の王ポリデクテスを石にしたという伝説が残っている。
