Schwerin 【Schwerin】 A city in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, northeastern Germany. The state capital of the state. It belonged to the former East Germany from 1949 to 1990. In the 12th century Heinrich conquered the lions daughter, a bishop was placed, became the Mecklenburg capital in the 14th century. Industrialization advanced after the Second World War.
