Scarborough Castle "Scarborough Castle" Castle in the city of Scarborough facing North East England, North Yorkshire, North Sea, England. Located in the cape between North Bay and South Bay. Built by Henry II in the 12th century. It was greatly damaged by the battle between the Royalists and the Congress in the England civil war of the Puritan Revolution and the German Navy of the First World War. Sometimes it was used as a prison between the 17th and 18th centuries. Scarborough Castle. スカーバラ‐じょう【スカーバラ城】 《Scarborough Castle》英国イングランド北東部、ノースヨークシャー州、北海に面する都市スカーバラにある城。ノース湾とサウス湾に挟まれた岬に位置する。12世紀、ヘンリー2世により建造。ピューリタン革命のイングランド内戦における国王派と議会派の戦闘、および第一次大戦のドイツ海軍の攻撃で大きな被害を受けた。17世紀から18世紀にかけて牢獄として使われたこともある。スカーボロ城。
