Donegal Castle "Donegal Castle" Castle in Donegal Town of Donegal, Northwest Ireland. It faces the Esque River which flows through the center of the town. Built in the 15th century as the castle of the O'Donnell family who had been ruling from the 13th century in the same region. In the sixteenth century I went to the army of the British army, and in the early 17th century Basil Brook general extended the Jacobian style wings. Currently the castle is open as a museum.
